Tickets are now on sale for Rising Stars’ forthcoming production of ‘The Lightning Thief – The Percy Jackson Musical’.

The cast of talented 9 to 18 year olds bring Rick Riordan’s beloved world of gods, monsters, and heroes to life in an epic musical packed with humour, adventure, and mythological mayhem. This lively production will be staged nightly in Beccles Public Hall & Theatre from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st March at 7.30pm.

After being expelled from six school in six years, Percy feels like there is no where he truly belongs, but when monsters come bursting into his life, Percy quickly realizes the Greek gods and myths he learned about in school are real!

Learning he is the son of Poseidon with newly discovered powers, Percy fights monsters on his trail, as he works to save his mother from the underworld. With the help of his new found friends and fellow demi-gods, Percy embarks on an epic quest to find and return Zeus’s lightning bolt before a war breaks out between the gods.

Based on the best-selling Disney-Hyperion novel by Rick Riordan, this thoroughly endearing family-friendly musical is an action-packed theatrical adventure worthy of the Gods that will rock your world – and the underworld.

‘The Lightning Thief – The Percy Jackson Musical’ is the next fully staged show in an ever growing line of successful musical productions by the Beccles-based musical theatre group, whose previous credits have included Les Misérables, Legally Blonde & The Addams Family. Although the majority of the cast are under 18, they pride themselves on bringing the high quality and professionalism that you would expect of any theatre company to all of their performances.

Tickets for ‘The Lightning Thief – The Percy Jackson Musical’ are priced at £15 for adults and £12.50 for under 18s and can be purchased online at any time from the Beccles Public Hall Box Office using this link.
